My First Lucid Dream

WATCH THE VIDEO FIRST. THIS IS A CONCLUSION TO THE VIDEO.

After deciding that I wasn't going to be able to move my hand very quickly, I decided to try something that is said to not only help you prolong a lucid dream, but allow you to escape your current environment and move to another one within your dream. This technique is "dream spinning", and involves, simply enough, spinning on the spot. I tried doing this and picturing my scene changing to me sitting in a Shelby GT500. I wasn't able to maintain focus, however, and instead of falling into a new scene, I awoke after spinning and was back in my bed again. It was an amazing experience nonetheless, but I hope to become more familiar with the feelings of lucid dreaming and truly master it.

UPDATE: I did a little research on lucid dreaming tonight. Apparently, its not uncommon to be out of touch with your dream body, to feel like your in control of the body in your bed while in your dream. There are, however, very effective techniques to solve this problem. One is dream spinning, which I need to master, as it didn't work in this case, while the other is to rub your hands together very quickly. I'll be sure to try these next time I achieve lucidity. Stay tuned.
