There's a competition going on at the business school here at UT in Austin and you had to make a video for one of the majors. Me and a couple friends made one for Supply Chain Management. If we get the most votes within that major, we win 900 dollars and go to the finals for a chance to win 3 grand.
So if you could, just click the link below to vote and watch our video. I need some money!

Not Again
Not even 2 days and I'm already messing up??? What the heck! So I took a nap at a little past 5, and I don't know what happened after that. I remember seeing the clock at the time my alarm went off but its such a vague memory it might as well not have happened. I wasn't even tired! I NEED to figure out someway to combat this. The only problem I have is waking up so having someone else do this with me, or at least be there to wake me up if I don't wake on my own, would be awesome. So if you're interested (and going to UT obviously) let me know. This would help a ton, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm thinking I'm on my own on this one. I'm confident I can get through today and tomorrow as long as I wake up, but again, it all rides on that, unfortunately.
Not So Short But Sweet
Both this post and what I'm about to tell you about. I took a nap when I got back from my morning classes today. Laid down at 12:15 for the nap and ended up falling asleep within about 2 minutes tops. May have even been one. I was pretty tired. I ended up having a dream. I was skiing at Winter Park ski resort where I went snowboarding this winter break. It didn't look at all like Winter Park, but I knew it was. That's just how dreams work. Well I skiid down this one slope and picked up some speed so I could get up a slight incline to where my friends were. I kind of wonder why I was skiing and not snowboarding, but that's how it was. Anyways. My friends were trying to get up this insanely steep slope. Probably 85 degrees, if not straight up. There wasn't really much of a decline to pick up speed though. One of my friends ga already gone up but the others were a little daunted by it. They weren't scared, just hadn't attempted to go up it yet. Without hesitation I I started skiing down the short decline and by some dream magic, picked up an enormous amount of speed and started to ski straight up this slope. Up and up j went. I would estimate about 400-500 feet. I surpassed some clouds, but I'm still pretty positive it was in that range of height. It started sloping over as you approached the top, kind of like those hypercoasters, Top Thrill Dragster or Kingda Ka. I started slowing dowb abd with about 30-40 feet to go I lost all speed. I started to freefall back down into nothingness, getting that weightless feel and then awoke on my bed.
I'm pretty shocked, for a couple reasons. First, I have never had a falling dream. The most popular and well known dream that it seems everyone has and I've never had one. This was the first time. I don't really know how to explain that. It wasn't bad though. At no time did I really feel fir my life. It was more of just, ah crap, I didn't make it.
The second reason I'm kind if shocked is that this all happened in the span of 9 minutes. When I awoke from the dream, I looked at the clock be it was 2:24. I full expected to look at it and find that I had overslept. I had woken up so quickly that I could've still gone back to sleep, but I really didn't want to. I felt well rested and refreshed. Hipefyll I cab repeat this. Waking up early from a nap is awesome.
I take my next nap at about 5. I'm feeling pretty good so I don't think I'll have any problems. Tonight might he tough though because I have like 3 intramural games tonight so I'm going to be short on time for naps and am sure to be exhausted later tonight. Wish me luck.

Starting Over
Well guys, I've started over now. My last night for full sleep was Sunday night. I think taking a short break and starting over was a good choice. My body was so confused it was even funny ( except when watching mr on video). I did a lot of reading on Tynan's blog from when he went polyphasic and it reminded me a lotnof how I've gone so far. He was able to push through so it's given me a lot of motivation. I've also realized, from these past few days back to a monophasic schedule, that even though I've only been at the beginning adaptation stages of a polyphasic sleep cycle, that I hate sleeping "normally.". I love the feeling of always having the same level if awareness and awakeness an I just can't get past the fact that I'd be wasting so much time of my day sleeping if I stay monophasic. I really want to get over the hump and become completely polyphasic and I think these realizations will really help me pull through. Plus I'm awesome and that always helps :P
I'm going to be making a change in the way in blogging also. I'm not going to be doing any videos in the near future as it justvtajes too much time to get it all uploaded and whatnot and it's always up late so it's not really giving you an idea of how I am RIGHT NOW. So, what exactly am I going to be doing? Well, I'm only going to post regular blogs, butnim going to be posting them in higher frequencies. Instead of one really long post in the middlenof the night, I may post 4 or 5 shortnones throughout the day. It'll make it easier to remember what I want to say and you guys will get more live updates in how it's going.
So I hope everyone's cool with that. Hopefully it works out nicely. This is my first one for the day but I'll be posting more so be sure to check back. Stay tuned.
P.S. I'm posting this from my iPod because my computer is messed up so excuse the typos. I'll go back and fix them when I get a chance.

My First Lucid Dream
WATCH THE VIDEO FIRST. THIS IS A CONCLUSION TO THE VIDEO.
After deciding that I wasn't going to be able to move my hand very quickly, I decided to try something that is said to not only help you prolong a lucid dream, but allow you to escape your current environment and move to another one within your dream. This technique is "dream spinning", and involves, simply enough, spinning on the spot. I tried doing this and picturing my scene changing to me sitting in a Shelby GT500. I wasn't able to maintain focus, however, and instead of falling into a new scene, I awoke after spinning and was back in my bed again. It was an amazing experience nonetheless, but I hope to become more familiar with the feelings of lucid dreaming and truly master it.
UPDATE: I did a little research on lucid dreaming tonight. Apparently, its not uncommon to be out of touch with your dream body, to feel like your in control of the body in your bed while in your dream. There are, however, very effective techniques to solve this problem. One is dream spinning, which I need to master, as it didn't work in this case, while the other is to rub your hands together very quickly. I'll be sure to try these next time I achieve lucidity. Stay tuned.
